Monitoring of Criminal Defendants under Home Detention or
Security USA™ has the ability to provide home monitoring services to defendants who have been granted this option as they are awaiting trial. Home monitoring of federal defendants under effective "house arrest" by vetted private security firms is an increasingly common option that allows a defendant to petition the court to consider such monitoring as an alternative to pre-trial detention. In cases that have received the approval of the court, a firm that has been vetted by the Office of the United States Attorney can be hired by the defendant to monitor their activities 24 hours a day. Under this arrangement, the defendant is also required to wear an electronic ankle bracelet (known as a "house arrest" bracelet or "scram") which is monitored at all times by federal law enforcement. This type of supervision can allow defendants to remain in their own residence pending trial while satisfying the concerns of the government.
Security USA™ has been vetted and approved by the US District Courts and has worked closely with pre-trial services to guarantee an easy transition with clear and standard objectives in compliance with all court orders. Our defendant monitoring services include:
- Presence of highly trained armed guards to ensure detention of defendants
- Armed escort of defendant as directed by the court
- Electronic monitoring
- Round the clock monitoring/recording of defendant's phone calls (Privileged conversations neither recorded nor monitored.)
- Remote monitoring of defendant's computer access and usage
